ディレクトリ構成

Red Hat Enterprise Linux は、インストール CD-ROM 及びソースコード CD-ROM から構成される 7 枚の CD-ROM に収録されています。

最近のシステムならほとんどが 1 番目のインストール CD-ROM で直接インストールを起動できるようになっています。 1 番目のインストール CD-ROM のディレクトリ構成は以下のようになっています。 (/mnt/cdrom は CD-ROM のマウントポイント)

残りのインストール CD-ROM もインストール CD-ROM 1 と似ていますが、 RedHat サブディレクトリしかありません。

ソースコード CD-ROM のディレクトリ構成はすべて以下のようになります。


/mnt/cdrom

NFS、FTP、または HTTP インストール用のインストールツリーを設定する場合は、すべてのインストール CD 上の RedHat ディレクトリから RELEASE-NOTES ファイル及び全ファイルをコピーする必要があります。Linux 及び UNIX システムの場合は、次の手順にしたがって、サーバ上に /target/directory を適切に構築します(ディスク毎に繰り返し)。

  1. CD-ROM を挿入します

  2. mount /mnt/cdrom

  3. cp -a /mnt/cdrom/RedHat /target/directory

  4. cp /mnt/cdrom/RELEASE-NOTES* /target/directory (インストール CD 1 のみ)

  5. umount /mnt/cdrom

インストールを行う

最近は多くのコンピュータが CD-ROM から自動的に起動できます。このようなマシンをご使用の場合は(適切に設定されていること）、ブートディスケットを使わずに Red Hat Enterprise Linux インストール CD-ROM 1 を直接起動させることができます。起動させると、 Red Hat Enterprise Linux インストールプログラムがスタートしますので、 CD-ROM からシステムをインストールすることができます。

images/ ディレクトリには、boot.iso ファイルが格納されています。 このファイルは ISO イメージで、 Red Hat Enterprise Linux インストールプログラムを起動するのに使用します。 複数のディスケットを使用せずにネットワークベースのインストールを開始するのに便利です。 boot.iso を使用するには、 そのコンピュータが CD-ROM ドライブからの起動が可能で、 BIOS 設定がそのように設定されていなければなりません。 これを確認したら、 RW (recordable/rewriteable) の CD-ROM に boot.iso を焼き付けます。

EXPORT CONTROL
